All
Islands Night proceeds go to charity. Monies raised
last year went to The Sanibel School, The Children's
Hospital, Sanibel/Captiva Cares, FISH, and Hope
Hospice. In addition, the Islands Night tradition of
giving each Island High School Graduate a cash
gift....
Independence Day Parade and
Fireworks
This event will take place on Friday July 4th. Parade starts at 9:30am and begins at Tarpon Bay Road and
Periwinkle Way (Bailey's Center) ending at Periwinkle Way and Casa Ybel
Road (Jerry's Center). The following roads will be closed beginning
at 9:15 am on July 4th, until approximately 11:00 am, Tarpon Bay
Road between West Gulf and Periwinkle Way; Periwinkle Way between
Casa Ybel and Tarpon Bay Road; and portions of Dunlop Road and Palm
Ridge Roads. All roads are scheduled to re-open immediately
following the parade. Contact the City of Sanibel if you have any
questions at 472-3111.
City fireworks display will begin at dusk
that night.
