Billboard Advertising
on the Chamber Tourism Web Site (Sponsorship)
The Sanibel & Captiva Chamber of Commerce provides its members
with an opportunity to display their billboard ads at the top of many
of our website pages. This page is designed to describe how the
billboard program works, how you will be billed, and how to sign up
for billboard space. We'll try to make this section complete, but if
you have any questions, please give Membership Services a call at the
Chamber Office (472-1080 x226) or drop us an email
message.
What is a Chamber “Billboard Slot”?
Each web page on www.sanibel-captiva.org
has a rectangular spot at the top where a member’s billboard ad is
displayed. Each position on the list is called a “slot on the
list”, or a “billboard slot”. The length of each web
page’s list (or the number of billboard slots on the list)
determines how many times that web page will be shown to someone
before your billboard comes up in the rotation again.
The price of any Billboard Slot on any web page list varies by
Level of participation, and quantities.
- Buy one or more Billboard
Slots for your business.
- Try several slots on a single
page and be seen more often on that page, or buy one slot on
several different pages that may interest your customers. (some
exceptions apply)
- Use the same billboard image
for all your slots, or give us a different billboard image for
each slot.
- During the year you can try
moving your slot to a different page, or give us a different image
to display in that slot.
- If you find that web
billboards are working well for your business, you can buy
additional Billboard Slots during the program year.

Opportunities

Members who sign up for the Sponsorship program are also entitled
to have a logo or other photo listed on our website above their
Business name.
The Administrative Details
- During the calendar year, changes can
be made to the page placement (s) of the Billboard Slots or
to the billboard images 3 times. (a single
request may involve 1 or more Billboard Slots.)
The Technical Details for your webmaster or graphic artist.
- Billboard Image Dimensions:
468 x 60 pixels
- Billboard Image Size (size
of the .gif or .jpg image file): 30k or less with no Flash or
Java, or Animation.
- Website listing logo or photos
Dimensions: 200w X 95h pixels and size of the .gif or .jpg image
file: 30k or less with no Flash or
Java, or Animation.
- Images can be e-mailed to services@sanibel-captiva.org
